Hackers have stolen the names of people, their addresses, and most concerning Social Security numbers from a company named National Public Data. Vital information that was taken from their database has been exposed on an unnamed internet forum for criminals to view and possibly use for identity fraud. Some estimates put the number of accounts stolen as high as 2.3 billion, though some are of deceased people and duplicates.

First you can go to the website by Atlas Privacy Data Corporation has established an online database that can determine if your data has been breached. The website is here https://npdbreach.com/

Another website that can determine if your information has been hacked is https://npd.pentester.com/

If your name is on the list it is advised as a first step to order the three main credit bureaus to issue a credit freeze on any new accounts. This will make it much harder for a fraudster to steal open accounts in your name.

DNA comes through again as an inmate in a MAssachusetts prison has been identified as the person responsible for the sexual assault and murder of University of Texas student Susan Leigh Wolfe from the city of Austin (TX) (USA). She had been found deceaased in an alley dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Deck Brewer is the monster identified for the crime. More details will be released in coming days.

A 1987 case of a newborn baby girl murdered in Riverside, California was solved as DNA testing revealed Melissa Jean Allen Avila as the mother of the deceased child. Avila was nineteen years old at the time and was arrested in North Carolina recently. She has been extradited to California to face charges.

Three murders of women that worked in the sex trade in the area of Ventura County in Southern California i(USA) n 1977. Seventy Three year old Warren Luther Alexander was connected to his three victims 18 year old Kimberly Carol Fritz, 31 year oild Velvet Ann Sanchez, and 21 year old Ann Rodriguez. The killer worked as a long haul truck driver and was first arrested for the murder of Nona Cobb who was slain in 1992 in the state of North Carolina. His known victims were all strangled and police believe that due to his travels, there are probably other victims.

David Lozada was a nineteen year old teenager who was shot and run over by a killer in a car on Hanover and Ford streets in Providence, Rhode Island (USA) on July 5th, 2021. Lozada had been followed by his assailant at around 8:30pm that night and tried to run as he was getting shot at. Case remains open.

It was in Forth Worth, Texas Novermber 2001, when a horrible discovery was made. The discarded body of a newborn female infant that bled to death. More than twenty years later, DNA tests revealed that 48 year old Shelby Stotts left her own child to die and has been charged with second degree manslaughter. Hopefully, justice is delivered. In the state of Connecticut, two cold cases were solved where the mothers of babies left to die were identified. One was never charged due to evidence lost (Baby X on solved page) and another (David Paul) due to statute of limitations (manslaughter) not murder.

The 1996 murder of a female couple in Shenandoah National Park sparked fears amongst outdoor enthusiasts and members of the Gay community. It was a brutal crime as Julianne “Julie” Williams, 24, and her romantic partner, Laura “Lollie” Winans, 26, were found bound, gagged while their dog was left unharmed. A suspect was arrested for the crime years later but was never convicted due to a lack of evidence. Now in 2024, Law Enforcement is confident that a deceased convicted serial rapist named Walter “Leo” Jackson is most likely the killer. Police said DNA at the scene of the murder ties him to the case and they are looking at the diabolical killer at other unsolved crimes.

One of his victims was a twelve year old girl who bravely went to police to turn him in. He would escape from prison from serving his full sentence. Police finally located his whereabouts recently and it seems he did not escape justice. Street Justice.

The incident occurred in 1971 and is believed to have crashed in LAke Champlain between the states of New York and Vermont. Five men were inside and had taken off from Burlington, Vermont on their way to Providence, Rhode Island (USA).
