Police in Danbury, Connecticut arrested a suspect in the sexual assault and abduction of a female victim in 1989.

The Danbury State’s Attorney and the Connecticut State Police Forensic Laboratory, identified 53-year-old David V. Coffey as the suspect. He lived in the area during the late 1980s, and he has been charged with kidnapping in the first degree.

The individual arrested could be the suspect responsible for several abduction/assaults in the Lake Avenue/Merrimac Street area that are still unsolved.
