DNA Testing Reveals Identity of Skull Found in 2006

It was a bizarre discovery, a hunter in Haddam, Connecticut (USA) finding a human skull on the shore of the Connecticut River. Through DNA testing, it is revealed that the skull belonged to 37 year old Brian Cranfield. Cranfield had been missing and presumed drowned after he and another man had gone missing after their boat overturned on the Connecticut River in Vermont at Sumner Falls in 2001. The other man’s body had been recovered a month after the incident. No other remains of Cranfields have been identified.
