ARREST in 30 Year Old Case Murder of 10 Year Old Christine Cole

DNA testing on blood found on the clothing of Christine Cole has been successfully matched against that of 59 year old Joao Monteiro of Central Falls, Rhode Island. UPDATE: 1-31-2020,   The Rhode Island’s States Attorney’s office is not proceeding ina trial against Jao Monteiro.  DNA Evidence while pointing to him, also points to other potential relatives of his.  Evidence so far does not meet the standard so far to pursue the case against him at this time.
