Fifty Years Later, Murdered Teenage Girl now Identified

It was April 11, 1975 when the body of a teeanged black female was found in the Mississippi River north of the town of Clinton, Iowa. An autopsy determined that she was murdered. In June of 2026, LAw Enforcement identified the girl as fifteen year old Cheryl Lynn Edwards who lived in the town of Waukegan, Her family had been searching for her for over 50 years. Her killer though has never been identified.
