Three Cold Cases Solved in Virginia, did a deceased Serial Killer have more victims?

IT’s always when there is closure, but for serial killer Alan W. Wilmer Sr., he never got paid for his crimes while he was alive. In 2017, the former professional fisherman died at the age of 63. Law Enforcement announced that he was responsible for the double murder of  shooting deaths of 20 year old David L. Knobling and 14 year old Robin M. Edwards (was was also sexually assaulted) in 1987. The two murders were considered part of a larger pattern of murders labeled the Colonial Parkway Murders. In 1989, 29 year old Teresa Lynn Spaw Howell was sexually assaulted and strangled to death which was also tied to Wilmer. Wilmer’s DNA was not in the any databases due to his lack of any felony convictions. Virginia and NAtional LAw Enforcement will continue to pursue leads on Wilmer to see if he had committed more crimes.
