Cold Case Still Haunts Detective Who Investigated it…

Erik Hansen was a detective in the East Hartford, Connecticut Police Department. From car accidents, to suicides, to murders. He has seen more carnage than most people have. As a detective he was the lead investigator in the murder of Kyle Holden who was kidnapped outside an Exotic Dance club so he could withdraw money from his ATM Card. Good detective work with help from the Connecticut State Police’s Eric Daigle resulted in the convictions of two teenagers who are now serving lengthy sentences. He was alsothe lead investigator in the slaying of Diane Johnson in her apartment in which he and Ray Cheverier arrested Robert Godfrey for the crime. Godfrey was convicted and serving a lengthy sentence.

Retired for several years now, there is one case that really eats at Hansen, the unsolved homicide of a mother of four. He was given the case a few years after it had occurred and even though he has a good idea who committed the murder, he never could make an arrest.
