For decades, the murder of 13 year old Danny Croteau of Chicopee, Massachusetts in 1972 has haunted those that know him as well as those that knew the prime suspect in his murder. On MAy 24th, 2021, the Hampden District Attorney announced that Croteau’s murder is now closed and this killer was indeed the prime suspect, his family’s former priest Richard Lavigne. Lavigne died a few days before the announcement and it was revealed that an arrest warrant was being prepared for the disgraced former priest.
