Marie Justus Carter was just one years old when she was murdered in 1994 by the fiance of her mother. This monster’s name is Jesse Anderson and he is up for parole. Jesse’s mother died almost ten years after the death of her daughter. Now family friends are trying to pressure the parole board to keep Anderson behind bars and prevent him from harming another child.
UPDATE: The petition has been closed. Apparently, it looks like this child killer will be released no matter what. This post is being kept on here as a memorial for MArie Justus Carter and her mother.
West Hartford’s most famous resident, Noah Webster
On Christmas Morning 1980, a resident at 20 Lancaster Road in West Hartford, Connecticut smelled smoke coming from an upstairs apartment at 6am. The neighbor found thirty-five year old Susan D’Angelo unresponsive on her couch. Her two children, Michael aged seven, and Beth aged three, were found in their rooms, unharmed and taken to safety.
Susan D’Angelo was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital. Police immediately viewed her death as suspicious.
D’Angelo whose maiden name was Glickman, was divorced and a former teacher in the West Hartford School System. At the time of her death, she was working as a reading consultant in the Hartford Public Schools.
At first, police thought she died of smoke inhalation. There was no fire in the house when Susan D’Angelo was found however, the Damper in the fireplace was closed. An autopsy later revealed that D’Angelo did not die of smoke inhalation and the Medical Examiner did not list a cause of death.
The West Hartford Police interviewed numerous individuals including her ex-husband Robert D’Angelo. However, he had a solid alibi in that he was visiting his parents in Brooklyn, New York at the time of her death.
A current boyfriend of hers was also questioned but an alibi ruled him out as a suspect.
However, Police did have a strong person of interest early on in the case, a male friend who was the last known person to see her alive.
With no cause of death listed on the autopsy report West Hartford Police also explored the possibility that her death as being accidental. A Duraflame log was found in the fireplace of D’Angelo’s residence. At the time, the logs were relatively new to the market and police suspected that poison gasses from the log could have incapacitated her and caused her to die.
In 1998, a different Medical Examiner, H. Wayne Carver reviewed her autopsy report and concluded that Susan D’Angelo was indeed a victim of homicide.
She was a victim of traumatic asphyxia and most likely was smothered.
With the classification of Da’Angelo’s death as a homicide, West Hartford Police tried tracking down the male friend who last saw D’Angelo alive. He had relocated out of the Hartford area shortly after her death and moved to several out of state areas in the following years. In December of 2001, West Hartford Police got bad news in that they learned that this person of interest had died several years prior to 2001.
Due to the fact that the Medical Examiner could not classify D’Angelo’s death a homicide until nearly two decades later, the West Hartford Police were limited legally in what they could do during the investigation.

At one time, I though I could make it to Hollywood by being a screenwriter even thougn I have never been to the Golden State. I had been paid to rewrite a screenplay for a local company in my area which never was able to get the funding to be made.
Ron Jeremy – Picture from the NAple Daily News.
I also wrote two comedies. One about my days (heavily ficitionalized) at my alma mater in the Ocean State. The other I wrote with a friend about a parody about the 80’s Pornographic Film Industry. The script dod get some looks through a Hollywood service (Inktip.com) and I was even offered a thousand dollars to rewrite it for an actual porn producer in New England. In the end, I said no. That script was meant to be a comedy and we had based some of our characters off some of the big names of that era. The funniest of all the characaters was parody of the legendary porn performer, B grade Actor and wannabe comedian Ron Jeremy. Jeremy has the distinction of starring in more adult pornographic films than any other actor ever on the planet.
Yerars ago, I went to see Ron Jeremy do a forgetable ten minute comedy routine and sign autographs at a Massachusetts Strip Club (Exotic Dancer). I went with a friend and several of the dancers gravitated to us when they saw me with the screenplay. They thought we were movie producers despite our insistence that we were not, two of them even left me their phone numbers (those calls were never returned by the way which was kind of funny).
We wanted to talk to Ron to see if he knew anyone in the Movie business that would be interested in a comedic script about the business with a funny character based off of him. My father had warned me earlier that Jeremy would most likely ignore us at best and other than signing two autographs, that is what he did. He signed two copies of the screenplay as I tried to make a pitch to him. However, he looked away went on to take pictures and fondle women as he sold his own brand of bizarre merchandise. It was supposed to be a night of comedy for the veteran of thousands of films but it was very evident that Ron was having a hard time walking (breathing heavily) around the club and within a year or two he would suffer a massive heart attack. He would recover but would soon face more serious problems. Several accusations of Sexual Assault.
More charges would follow years later and the man who spent forty years in the industry would find himself facing charges that would land him over three hundred years in prison. Accusations of lewd contact with an underage female, unwanted fondling and digitial penetration as well as rape. Sadly, this is not uncommon in the porn industry and the film industry (calling out Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Guthrie and Bill Cosby among others), Men and the occasional woman using the casting couch for their own pleasure as well as abusing and assaulting others including famous celebrities..
To date, I have never been able to do anything with that screenplay that had the character based off of Ron Jeremy. But if I was to do anything about it, it looks like I would have to change the (Ron Jeremy) character from being a complete buffon to a nasty villain. One of the autographs Ron Jeremy wrote wished me “Good Luck” Well, it looks like Ron is the one who needs the luck and if he is found guilty, he should spend the rest of his living years behind bars. At least then, he’ll have plenty of time to make his stand up comedy routine actually funny.
After several books about true crime, archaeology, and his abstract thoughts, Michael Bouchard has written a new fictional book about a serial killer stalking a town in Maine (USA)and the search for some secret notes from inventor Nikola Tesla that could hold serious secrets and hope for humanity.
When it comes to sports there are generational players that define an era. Lebron James is considered one of the greatest ball players of all time and the best of the last ten years. If there is any other player that could give James a run for being the best in the game now, is Kevin Durant.
Despite being a world champion and a League Most Valuable Player, Durant is also known for his social media feuds with celebrities such as Michael Rappaport, Shannon Sharpe and just random “twitter idiots”. He may be a beast on the court he is known to be very sensitive to criticism.
However, he is human like everyone else and he suffers tragedy as well. On MArch 21st 2019, then 32 year old Clifford Dixon was shot and killed in the parking lot of the SL Lounge bar located at the 4000 block of Buford Highway around 1:15 am in the town of Chamblee, Georgia near the city of the Atlanta. Dixon was a close friend of Durant who at one time was taken in by Durant’s mother and lived with them. Dixon would go on to college baseketball at Western KEntucky and have professional stints in sport leagues in several countries before retiring. He was also the real life boyfriend of Erica MEan who was a castmember of show “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” where Dixon also appeared on screen.
Clifford Dixon
The early morning of his murder, video shows a man wearing hoodie waiting around in the parking lot until Dixon exits his vehicle. The unidentified killer runs up and shoots him several times and then flees on foot. To date there is no arrest.
The National Basketball Association in 2020 and 2021 have made police brutality and racism big issues. That includes players kneeling for the National Anthem and logos on player’s jerseys and on the courts. Players even postponed a game by walking out after Jacob Blake was shot by several police officers in Wisconsin after he resisted arrest while having a knife in his possession.
However, questions remain about the NBA and it’s players when it comes to other violence. Dixon was likened to as an “adoptive brother” of Kevin Durant. Yet, there is little said about black on black violence by NBA players on social media and in the press. Durant is a multi millionaire, yet no where on any internet search can I find a reward being offered by him for the murder of Clifford Dixon. There are so many murders unsolved such as Opelika Doe, James Lee Jacobs, Robert Hollis, or the disappearance of Asha Degree that could use attention from sport celebrities and actors. Even rewards help out greatly.
According to one of the links (second) below, Dixon’s mother was starting a GoFundme page to help raise a reward to identify and arrest Clifford’s killer. A search of GoFundMe reveals no account for Clifford Dixon. One has to wonder why Durant can’t just offer the reward himself. Not making accusations that he had anything to do with this crime but with all his millions of dollars, why can’t Durant put up a $100,000 for his “Adopted Brother”.
So for now, Clifford Dixon’s murder remains unsolved, if you have any information please contact the Chamblee police at 770-986-5005.
